A Map & Key That Might Not Fit
But Any DM Worth His/Her Salt Can Make It Work
KEY
Room 1
The
area looks average compared with other sections of this place. Tossed around the area are a gold music box worth 2000cp, a dagger hilt, a painting of a city,
pottery shards scattered around, and a brass spoon +1.
Located
inside the gold music box is a white
cloth sack containing 2000pp / 2000gp / 2000ep / 2000sp / 2000cp.
Room 2
The
area is pretty unextraordinary at first glance. Throughout the area are rusty
metal pliers, bent metal ladle, a corroded brass dented shield, 3 blank scrolls, a corroded
iron pail, and an iron kettle.
Room 3
The area
has a stillness in the air with an average temperature for the area. You can
make out a loud splintering sound coming from somewhere. Throughout the area are
purple thread (50 feet), useless quill, mat, cracks in the floor, blue pillow,
6 bent brass hooks on the wall, and whetstone.
Room 4
The
area seems normal for this type of place. Throughout the area are a cedar cane,
a pile of straw, 20 feet of twine, and 7 brass hooks on the wall.
A thick,
sticky substance covers the floor and anyone walking in it becomes stuck and
must find a way to free themselves.
Room 5
The
area smells metallic and there is moisture all over the floor in a light mist.
You can make out a faint thudding sound coming from somewhere. A mahogany
weapon rack on the far wall holds a battle staff made of iron with a bone
handle, a ruined light flail, a broken heavy pick, and a broken light flail.
Also scattered on the floor are a ruined wood wall basin, a tinderbox, an iron
sifter, a ruined mattress, and a rusty iron tub.
Room 6
The
area seems plain when you first look upon it, but then you notice the dried
blood all over the floor. Scattered throughout the area are 3 foot-long iron
chains, a basket, and 3 bent iron spikes.
Room 7
The
area is pretty unextraordinary at first glance. Throughout the area are 8 soiled
bandages, a wooden pitcher, several chipped fireplace stones, and an oak
workbench.
Room 8
The
area looks average compared with other sections of this place, albeit with a
strange fungus growing on the walls and floor (this is a common, non-monstrous
mold). An iron sifter rests in the far
corner, but the entire floor is covered in a shallow puddle of oily water. Smack in the middle of the puddle is a leather
backpack containg 2000gp / 2000ep / 2000sp / 2000cp.
In an
oak strongbox with a locked keyhole that is hidden under a concealed floor
panel., there is a pile of coins containing 2000gp / 2000sp / 2000cp
Room 9
The
area is pretty unextraordinary at first glance, although the floor is run
through with cracks. A loom, a maple chair, a padded steel chair, a huge pile of
various bones, and some shoe prints in various spots are all that PCs will find
here.
Room 10
The
area looks average compared with other sections of this place. Throughout the
area is... patches of moss, dust throughout, shredded and torn clothing, a mahogany
chest of drawers [containing a doublet, ruined red cloth gloves, a ripped
yellow blouse, a dirty brown apron, a ripped gray scarf, a torn purple mantle, a
pair of moldy white pantaloons, a ruined brown toga, and 16 sets of green
stockings], 43 feet of ruined rope, a corroded iron mug, and gray thread (30
feet).
Located
inside the false bottom of the mahogany chest of drawers is a black cloth
backpack containing: 2000gp / 2000ep.
Hidden
under a concealed floor panel trapped with a polymorph spell is a blue canvas
rucksack containing 2000sp / 2000 cp. The spell hits whoever opens the container.
The victim turns into a toad for 1d4+1 turns unless they can save for spells.
Room 11
The
area appears similar to the rest of the place and is empty.
Room 12
The
area smells dusty and has a cold current. Thorny vines fill the area and tangle
around anyone inside, causing 1d4+1 damage each round and can only be removed
after 20 points of damage have been done to the thick vines. There’s also a
Yellow Mold hanging around back in the corner.

Room 13
The
area is pretty unextraordinary at first glance. Gray slime drips from the far
wall, and scattered around on the floor are an iron spoon, blue wax drippings,
brown wax drippings, and a metal bowl.
Room 14
The
area smells rancid. Maybe it’s the rats?

Room 15
The
area smells of urine. Throughout the area are orange thread (50 feet), a bent
iron kettle, a wooden flagon, pottery shards scattered around, an orange sheet,
a large pile of ashes with a corroded iron helmet lying on top of it, and dust
throughout.
Room 16
The
area is pretty unextraordinary at first glance. Throughout the area are black
thread (50 feet), arusty iron bowl, a smoking pipe, a useless smoking pipe,
liquid dripping from the ceiling, and chiseled drawings of circles on the
floor.
Room 17
The
area looks average compared with other sections of this place. Throughout the
area are a sword blade, 40 feet of twine, a torture rack made mostly of cedar (it
has some areas of dried blood), a maple bunk bed, the bloody corpse of an elf
[CONTAINS: small toy doll, 4 white glass spheres (1 inch diameter), blank spell
book bound in brown leather with a symbol of a crown on the cover], humanoid
bones.
Room 18
The
area seems plain when you first look upon it. Throughout the area are a painting
of a scenic forest view, yellow thread (100 feet), iron branding iron, metal
pliers, rosewood stool, fungus growing.
Room 19
The
area has dryness in the air. Yet somehow, inexplicably, there’s a few giant
frogs just chilling out here.
