I've been swamped at work. The semester is coming to an end and I am swamped in with paper grading. I teach five college-level writing courses a semester and it is easy to get behind in grading, especially when I'm grading research papers and annotated bibliographies, where I have to check sources and such. Software such as TurnItIn.com help catch the obvious plagiarism cases and flag a lot of questionable use of sources, but I still have to read and check and grade everything myself. Thanksgiving was a good chance to play catch-up, but even with a week off, I was only able to get the annotated bibliographies graded--well, that and a whole bunch of small assignments from my Digital Narratives and Creative Writing classes. So. I am behind. And feeling uncreative. And not spending a lot of time online. Or working on projects. But that will change with the Christmas break (three weeks to go!).
