Links Will Be Broken

In the coming weeks, links to many of the files I've linked to on Rended Press will be broken. I have been using my faculty web space to host many of these files, and the campus server is being retired in favor of a different web hosting platform. I've decided to move all the material I have had a hand in creating to my Dropbox account or Google Sites space for easier management.

In the meantime, if you try to download something from the Downloads page and can't, leave a comment on the Downloads page I'll send it out to you via email.

You could store your archives at Scribd and I wouldn't be surprised if much of it is stored there already.

I don't like Scribd. Their policy of charging people for downloading material that is part of their "archive"--material that was written by its users, uploaded by its users, and is OWNED by its users--is something I find 100% unethical.

I can't tell you how many times I've gone to Scribd to download something only to have Scribd tell me I have to pony up cash to Scribd to get access.

So, no, I won't be using Scribd, and I encourage others to avoid it at all costs.
